Good Chipper
Good chipper but not really all that quiet but who cares as it does a good job.
Great little addition to the gardening tool box
Easy to set up and to use. It reduced two wool sacks of woody / leafy garden prunings to lovely mulch with ease. I did it quite green, so put all the mulch through a second time before applying to the garden. Very rewarding indeed.
Love it
Does what it says on the box. Handles relatively big branches with ease and doesnt clog up as long as you feed waste through gently. Quiet enough to work around for a long time without your ears ringing

Great little garden shredder, has taken everything i have thrown at it without complaint. Would recommend.
impressed with the power
It chews through branches like it is nothing. Working the trimmings of fruit- and native trees into mulch is a breeze. A little disappointed that it doesn't take leaves and kitchen waste that well as the opening is very narrow, the title isn't entirely correct it's not a shredder perse, it's more a crusher, it does break wood into pieces. So bare that in mind when making a selection for your purpose. Hyundai garden tools are reliable and strong. And the price is very reasonable in comparison.
Sleeping Beauty's garden!
A large area of my garden had become overun with a lovely plant but it had to go, no light getting into garage windows. The plant was too thick to just use clippers on,, had to use the small garden chain saw trimmer. The shredder disposed of the whole plant easily. Really good machine. The rest of my unruly plants are a bit worried now!

I read the reviews before I purchased the machine and don't regret it. It takes everything I can reasonably throw at it and munches through it in no time. Take care to keep clearing the area under the blade in the collection box that piles up, but that's the same with most machines. The safety feature on the collection box that must be locked in place is good, but some people will be irritated by it. The power lead could be longer (only about 30cm) but otherwise very well designed and easy to use.
A great product from a great team
I have to say Ive been DELIGHTED with the Hyundai shredder. It far exceeded by expectations, and steadfastly chewed its way through about 6 cubic metres of cuttings and reduced them to a manageable barrowload or two of mulch in a matter of a few hours. It seems to work rather like our old Labrador dog used to - eating its way through anything it was given without a blink (though in the same way some things, of course, come out the other end the same as they went in!) I'm developing the same affection for it, too. I have Trade Tested noted, now, as a go-to place for things mechanical and have already sung your praises with friends. Long may you flourish.
Great value chipper
Great value and does the job really well!
I have one of these for around a year
I am amazed how good this is. It is easy to use and that there is no spillage and that it is self feeding means the job gets done a lot quicker. If it harder to mulch, it is because the bin is close to being full, so you just empty it. I have had no problem with fresh leaves when the are attached to branches, but I wouldn't suggest leaves on their own or on thin twigs. I managed to clear a blockage, but I learnt a lesson.
Quiet garden shredder.
We've used this now for about 10 hours. It is fairly quiet, compared to cheaper machines. But most importantly, it works really well.
A great garden shredder
The Hyundai Garden Shredder is fantastic. I bought it a month ago and have used it on numerous occasions since in helping to shred and mulch the cuttings from my garden. It is relatively quiet and after using it regularly you understand exactly how it operates best. It can handle branches up to 35/40mm with ease. Rather than cut up branches into short lengths I have found that even if the branch is a couple of metres metres long you can still feed it into the machine. This certainly helps with clearing up large piles in a relatively short time. I would and have recommended this to friends and family.
Perfect quality
After a bit of internet research found this garden shredder. Best balance between price and quality, powerful enough for small garden with fruit trees. Already tested the shredder - working well, not to noisy, shred brunches up to 45mm without any problems. Before work need some easy set up (attach wheels, tools inside the box).
Damn it's good!
I've managed with quite an old shredder for many years, so I was unsure about the claims of this machine from what most of us think of as a car manufacturer and not a specialist in garden tools. But my goodness this is so powerful and effective on dry and green branches or twigs and leaves. Sure it can pile up at one end of the collection crate, but being reasonable, that's to be expected and just needs levelling out or emptying from time to time. Very pleased customer.
Unbelievably Good
Amazing machine. Shreds anything that fits in the guide slot. To my surprise it easily shreds palm thronds. I've put around 50 through so far, without missing a beat. A very impressive and highly recommended machine.
Better than but...
Hi there. It's not worse than the comparative. My thoughts: 1. Because the plastic container has a plug to complete the electric circuit it means you can't run it without, and the container will likely break being quite flimsy and brittle, which would render the whole machine unusable. 2. The out shoot is at the rear of the plastic container and if it clogs up, it's hard to remove the container to unclog it because it's on runners and the rear of the drawer catches on the debris preventing it sliding out sufficiently, meaning it's likely to split, and then problem 1 becomes an issue. 3. You can't view when the metal shavings appear indicating the correct blade tension, because you have to stop the machine to pull the drawer out to look. Otherwise, it's great. Regards Doogie
Well suited for the job
Mainly used to shred fresh cuttings from Pittosporum hedge (a lot of leaves and only 15mm diameter branches)which it managed without any real issue. You do need to set the blade against the cutting block correctly which is easy enough to do as per instructions and be sure to feed the branches in through the larger part of the feed chute on the left hand side as thats the side where the blade does the cutting and automatically draws the branches in. If you dont feel the branch get drawn in then dont keep forcing more branches in after it as the machine will get blocked. Use the provided tool to poke the branch down further. I guess what Im trying to say is treat the machine right and it will see you right. I can see how it can easily be force fed and not be able to cope.

Excellent product. Works better than I expected. The shredder drum should be regularly adjusted so you can just hear it touching. Saw that tip on an online review - it's not in the manual.
Excellent purchase
Quiet, easy and safe to use, comprehensive instructions, easy to move around. Best to use longish material (over 25cms long) to ensure that it goes down the right (right hand) side of the cutter. I used a shorter branch which got stuck crossways and took a while to extract, so that taught me a lesson.

I have not used it yet. But the machine is well designed and well made, and the price was very reasonable.

Nice and quiet. Works well with plenty of pressure. Only negative I found the drain tap very hard to open.
